Quick History of H.O.G.
Harley-Davidson® established the Harley Owners Group®, or H.O.G., in 1983 in response to a growing desire by Harley riders for an organized way to share their passion and show their pride. Just as HDMC did 120 years ago when the founders put an engine in a frame, the Motor Company is always finding new ways to get riders out on the road and have more adventures.

Which H-D Membership account do I need?

You only need the H.O.G. membership for complete access to the H-D Membership App. Harley Owners Group is (basically) the platinum membership with access to all the perks the app has to offer.
There are two types of H.O.G. memberships:
- Rider: This option hasn't changed from the original H.O.G. Membership program. You will need a Harley VIN to have this membership.
- Passenger (formerly known as "Associate"): This option has changed by name and cost only, as the cost now matches the "Rider" membership. To have this membership, you'll need a "Rider" sponsor and you'll use their motorcycle VIN to register.
If you are looking to be a member of the H-D Membership App, but not a member of H.O.G. or ride a non Harley-Davidson motorcycle there are other options to chose from. Please visit H-D Membership for more details.

If you have your National Membership set to "AUTO RENEW" and HAVE NOT updated your account since H-D Membership was introduced in the summer of 2023, we HIGHLY recommended you login to your account and check the status of your National Membership - use the link below.
We have found many members of this Chapter have had their National Membership lapse this year due to the shift in the H-D Membership program. Please contact the Dealership if you have any questions.
Is my H.O.G. Membership synced to the App?
The easiest way to tell is to get into the app, visit your profile and see if your digital H.O.G. card is present - an orange image with a H.O.G. watermark with your name and H.O.G. ID number.
If the digital card is black and the number does not match your H.O.G. ID number, you need to sync the membership.
